Zhengyuan Zhu is College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Professor, Director of the Center for Survey Statistics Methodology (CSSM), and Professor in the Department of Statistics. He has expertise in spatial statistics, survey statistics, time series analysis, multivariate and functional data analysis, and machine learning, and has over 80 publications on spatial sampling design, anomaly and change detection in space and time, statistical data integration, spatio-temporal models, long range dependent processes, and applications in environmental statistics, natural resource survey, agricultural statistics, remote sensing, transportation statistics, and other areas. Since 2013 he has been leading a large team of statistician and data scientists to provide statistical and survey support for a number of national longitudinal surveys such as the US National Resource Inventory survey, the US BLM-Managed Lands survey, and the surveys for the Conservation Effects Assessment Project.
