Edwin E. Yaz received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Bosphorus (Bogazici) University, Istanbul, Turkey. After working with Marmara Research Institute, Turkey and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA and brief stints with the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, USA, and Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, he has been a Professor and the Chair of Electrical and Department of Computer Engineering, Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI, USA, since 2001. He has been serving on the editorial boards of many journals in the systems and control area. His research interests include modeling, analysis, estimation, and control of stochastic and nonlinear systems with applications to smart microsystems and electric energy systems. He has more than 340 publications in related areas.
