Panel Abstract and Goals:

On behalf of the SCC PI meeting organization committee, we are inviting you to attend a workshop focusing on the coordination and consolidation of technology and key algorithms across two thematic areas: Disaster response and equitable mobility. The session will be on the second day of the workshop. The goal of this session is to identify common areas where each of you can discuss and identify if there are mechanisms to share key results and lessons learned including simulators, data and software wherever possible. The idea behind this session is to be able to understand what are the methods through which cross-team coordination can be facilitated. I hope you can attend the sessions and help provide an initial set of recommendations that even other teams across other research areas can reproduce.

An expectation of the workshop, will be to prepare a set of common requirements and catalogue the work that your team is doing and where you may be able to help each other. This can then lead to a semi-annual virtual workshops that you can organize in future – helping foster collaboration by describing the research progress that you have made during that time and what if anything can be shared with others.

Panel Format:

  • Panelists will introduce themselves in the main room and then use the slides you sent to talk about your project.  (10 minute)
  • Participants will then go to the breakout rooms and develop suggestions for coordination and making results available across similar projects.  (30 minutes)
  • All will come back and provide our consolidated reports to the rest of the session and open for any questions that people may have. (30 minutes)
