PhD Positions Available – Cyber-Physical Systems Research

The University of Malaga, in collaboration with Prof. Ricardo Sanfelice (University of California, Santa Cruz, and Director of the Cyber-Physical Systems Research Center), invites applications for two pre-doctoral contracts funded by the Malaga Microelectronics project (PERTE-Chip Chair).

Position Details:

- Location: Department of Computer Architecture, University of Malaga
- Duration: 12-month contracts, renewable through June 2027
- Start Date: November/December 2024

Key Research Areas:

- Algorithm analysis with a real-time focus
- Hardware-software co-design of cyber-physical systems
- Applications in intelligent health, robotics, and intelligent transportation
- RISC-V architecture and algorithm design
- Validation and interdisciplinary collaboration

Requirements:

- Graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or related fields
- Master’s degree in relevant areas (Computer Science, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and other programming languages
- Experience with processor architectures, control systems, AI, and real-time systems is desirable
- Advanced English proficiency
