Courtney Cronley

Dr. Cronley is a social scientist and expert in participatory research methods. She brings nearly 10 years of experience collaborating with civil engineering and urban planning/geography faculty colleagues on participatory transportation planning methods, underserved communities, and equity. She investigates how to build more inclusive infrastructure with a focus on historically marginalized communities. She utilizes mixed methodologies including qualitative and community-based participatory research methods. Dr. Cronley was recently nominated by her department to be a member of the UT Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development’s Expanding Horizon’s Program in recognition of her leadership in convergence research, and her work has been presented consistently at the Transportation Research Board’s Annual Meeting and in leading journals such as the Transportation Research Record. She is also an affiliate with the UT Baker Center for Public Policy. She has co-authored over 50 publications and received funding from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Transportation-funded University Transportation Centers, and the Texas Department of Transportation.
