Pam DiBona

Pam DiBona is Director of the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Partnership, one of 28 National Estuary Programs established under Section 320 of the Clean Water Act. MassBays' region extends along more than 1100 miles of coastline and encompasses 50 coastal communities. MassBays' work focuses on monitoring, restoration, and protection of coastal habitats in Ipswich Bay, Massachusetts Bay, and Cape Cod Bay, with the help of five Regional Coordinators embedded in local organizations. A seasoned science-policy professional with considerable science communications experience, Pam previously worked as a Program Lead at the New England Aquarium, Chief of Staff to the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Vice President for Policy at the Environmental League of Massachusetts, and Policy Director at the Charles River Watershed Association. She holds a B.A. in Biochemistry from Connecticut College, and an M.S. in Environmental Science/Environmental Microbiology and Graduate Certificate in Science in a Changing World from the Program on Critical and Creative Thinking, both from UMass Boston.
