RTAS 2027 – 33rd IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium
The 33rd IEEE Real-Time and Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium (RTAS 2027) will be held May 17–20, 2027, in Boulder, Colorado, as part of CPS-IoT Week 2027.
RTAS is a leading forum for research on systems with timing requirements. The symposium addresses the design, implementation, verification, validation, and evolution of predictable, dependable, and efficient computing systems.
While real-time and embedded computing remain at the heart of RTAS, the symposium encompasses an increasingly broad range of computing environments in which timing and predictability are critical. These include distributed cyber-physical systems, robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace systems, cloud and edge computing, Internet of Things technologies, mobile computing, smart grids, smart cities, AI and machine learning infrastructure, and real-time signal processing.
RTAS 2027 welcomes work addressing both traditional hard real-time requirements and broader timing considerations such as latency, throughput, quality of service, probabilistic guarantees, and predictable performance.
The technical program spans two primary tracks. Systems and Applications emphasizes systems research and practical applications, while Applied Methodologies and Foundations focuses on models, methods, algorithms, analysis, optimization, and verification techniques for systems with timing requirements.
For researchers working in cyber-physical systems, RTAS provides an important venue for addressing the timing, predictability, resource management, dependability, and performance challenges that arise when computation interacts with physical processes and increasingly complex connected environments.
